With the summer season slowly coming to an end and autumn creeping in with cold, wet weather many properties starting to show signs of suffering from dampness, condensation issues and mould even though there has been a drive to improve the energy efficiency within homes many properties are still plagued with damp related issues. The issues are as a result of trapping heat within the property and preventing sufficient ventilation inside the property to remove stale, moist air.

From a recent survey conducted by Ipsos MORI for the Energy Saving Trust, it was suggested that almost half of property owners in the UK live in a damp, draughty or mouldy homes - the problems were most commonly found to be in rental properties.  With England holding the oldest stock of housing in Europe there is no surprise that many homes are suffering from such issues.
